My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Back at MetLife Stadium For Giants Again

Well this was definitely a fun December weekend in Jersey! This was a fun mix of some relaxation, and some Epic fun! We will start with Friday night where I had a nice, quiet, chill night in with Christmas movies on. I was so excited on Friday to learn that it was the 60th anniversary of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, and that NBC was playing it for their first time in decades. I love that movie and so many of the positive, inspiring messages that happen during it. I love the underdog story of Rudolph, and especially am always moved by this movie showing us that our differences are what can make us unique and special. A red shining nose might have made Rudolph look and feel different than everyone else, but it ended up being what made him so special. I planned on watching that movie in its entirety Friday night.

Then I saw Home Alone on TV. I haven't caught that yet this season, so Friday night was the perfect time. But wait, there's more! Home Alone 2 Lost In New York was on right after Home Alone! A back to back Home Alone doubleheader? Consider me hooked! Every year at this time I give you my hot take, and the tradition continues this year. Home Alone 2 is better than the original Home Alone!!! There, I said it! Home Alone 2 is funnier and has much more of a plot, with fun trash talking between Kevin and Harry with Marv. Also, the beautiful scenery of Manhattan is much more fun to watch in the background than some random Chicago suburb neighborhood. I also love the social media memes and speculation this time of year that wonders aloud, "What exactly did Kevin's Dad do for work?" One year, he's able to take 14 people to Paris for Christmas the next year just as many to Miami? Between that and the gorgeous house in suburban Chicago that is worth millions of dollars these days, one can't help but wonder. Where can we sign up for a job like that? After a long week at work, an unplanned Friday movie night in was just what the doctor ordered for me.

Saturday I enjoyed lunch in Hackettstown at Marley's Gotham Grill. I enjoyed my delicious Nuclear wings and was very happy with my decision. I then ventured over to the Kilhaney's Pickle Store. That was my main motivation for going to downtown Hackettstown. When I join besties Artie, Margie, and Roy at our MetLife Stadium New York Giants Tailgate parties, so many of our friends go all out with these. They have their tailgating down to a system! I never need to contribute anything at all to these, but wanted to bring something special and unique that could impress my friends. I knew that Kilhaney's Spicy Garlic pickles would impress, and they did! The whole jar was gone within minutes and I couldn't have been happier to contribute something at this fun tailgate. It was cloudy and cold at MetLife Stadium parking lot. Indeed, we did see that airplane circling around the stadium with the sign imploring the Giants to stop this dumpster fire of a situation. I hope they keep Head Coach Brian Daboll and General Manager Joe Schoen. They've had misses, and aren't perfect, but I still think it's quite possibly the Giants best options in these positions. Let's see what they can do next year with a Quarterback not named Daniel Jones.

We brought a 5 0 balloon for our friend Steve's 50th birthday. That didn't really go to plan, because the 5 couldn't inflate. There I was just holding and walking around with a 0 balloon that had me feel like I was looking like a 0! After 20 minutes of going nuts holding it, bestie Artie said I could just put it back in the car.

Well, once I put it in and closed the passenger door on my side that only slightly opened a couple of times on me while in transit, within minutes the balloon still blew out of the van and up into the sky so very far away. Bummer. That was my big fail of the day. Ah well. It was driving me nuts anyway!

We had so much fun running into friends there, even bestie Brad came over to say hi to us from his tailgating party. Small world! You never know who you might run into at MetLife Stadium.

The game definitely left plenty to be desired. The New York Giants have a real, serious chance to be the first team in NFL history to go 0-9 at home! Talk about painful. This game was closer than some I have been to this year, but it was still absolutely painful. We left during the 3rd quarter, no arm twisting needed for that at all. We go mainly for the fun with friends factor, as opposed to hoping watching good quality football. All good!

Overall I had a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend. It'll be our 12 Strays Of Christmas Facebook Live video Saturday morning! Here we go!
