State Senator Jon Bramnick has called for a temporary ban on all drones in New Jersey due to recent unidentified drone activity. For over three weeks, drones have been spotted flying across the state, prompting investigations by the FBI and other federal agencies. However, the origins of these drones remain unknown.

Congressman Josh Gottheimer has also expressed concerns, urging for more transparency from federal agencies. He emphasized the need for public briefings to address the growing unease among New Jersey residents. Gottheimer stated, "We must ensure New Jersey does not become the Wild West for drone activity." According to Insider NJ, Gottheimer is introducing legislation to expand federal grants for local law enforcement to improve drone detection capabilities.

Governor Phil Murphy is in close contact with Homeland Security regarding the situation. In response to the drone sightings, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has restricted airspace over Picatinny Arsenal and President-elect Donald Trump's Bedminster golf course.

The call for a drone ban aims to ensure public safety while authorities work to understand the scope and source of the drone activity. As investigations continue, New Jersey officials are taking steps to prevent potential threats and safeguard residents.
