The Poconos are experiencing a cold snap with temperatures expected to remain in the mid-20s today (Thursday, December 12) and tomorrow. The National Weather Service warns of potential slick roads due to freezing conditions following yesterday's rain. There is a possibility of isolated snow showers today, with temperatures reaching a high of 27°F and dropping to 14°F tonight. Friday will be sunny with a high of 26°F and a low of 13°F, while Saturday will see a slight warm-up with a high of 31°F.

The cold weather is expected to ease by next week, with temperatures rising to the 40s by Monday and the mid-40s by Tuesday. This change will bring some relief from the current chilly conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, residents should remain cautious on the roads due to potential ice formation.
