A United Airlines flight bound for Las Vegas made an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday (February 25) after experiencing engine issues. Flight 1544, a Boeing 757-200, departed Newark around 6 a.m. but returned safely about an hour later. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the incident.
Passengers were transferred to another aircraft, which departed for Las Vegas around 10 a.m. According to the FAA, the flight crew reported possible engine issues shortly after takeoff, prompting the return to Newark. No injuries were reported, and all passengers were safely accommodated on the subsequent flight.
