My very busy weekend included two big parties. On Friday it was my grand daughter Gracie's second birthday party. This one was for her friends from school. We had the party on a Friday because it wasn't a school night. That's two birthday cakes in one week but who's counting. Even though I had a bunch of 4th graders running around my house I still feel asleep on the couch. Then on Saturday 1023 WSUS had our Christmas Music Kick-Off Party at Industry Restaurant and Bar in Sparta. Miss Gracie and one of her friends came with me. She was excited to see Santa and Mrs. Clause for sure. However, she absolutely loved all the dogs and puppies that were there from Father John's and OSCAR. Especially Alfie and Andy who happen to be our 1023 WSUS Adopt a Pets of the Week! Then after that we went to spend some of Gracie's Birthday money at 5 and below. I'm very proud of her. She had a budget of $50 and that's what she spent. Sunday night we made cupcakes. Yes more cake and icing. One more thing. We discovered my grandson is just like his grandpa and mommy. He loves steak! It was my pleasure to make his new favorite dish on Friday night: strips of steak dipped in ketchup.
