Driver pulled from burning car at Andover Shell Station

Monday afternoon bystanders pulled the driver out of a burning car at the Andover Shell Station on Route 206. A burning car at a gas station can become disastrous very quickly. This time it didn't thanks to a quick response from the Andover Fire Department and a gas station employee. The firefighters started to arrive at the scene only a few minutes after the 911 calls starting coming in. The gas station employee alertly turned off the pumps quickly after the fire started. First responders worked "aggressively" to not only put out the fire but contain the fuel leak. That was moving down the highway and toward the building. Some of the other first responders who quickly arrived to help included: Byram Police, Lakeland Emergency Squad and Newton Volunteer Fire Department.
