My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Fun With Friends, Plus Yummy Food & Beverages

This weekend was definitely action packed with some old favorites and some fun new adventures too. Friday afternoon I reached out to bestie Jennifer seeing if she was able to hang out with me. She was available, and I haven't seen her in approximately a month or so. I had to bust on her, because at first she texted with interest in us trying someplace new, but then changed our game plan to Fetch in Warwick. Fetch is one of her favorite places, the last time I went there was with her. I joked that Fetch in Warwick was "as opposite of somewhere new as you can get!" I haven't been there often, my dining experiences at Fetch have been a mixed bag more or less. It doesn't help that I'm a picky eater as well. I did buffalo tenders with fries, (I know, not much of a surprise here) and they came out terrific. I was impressed. We had a nice Friday night out at Fetch in Warwick. It might not have been somewhere new to us, but we still had fun. After hanging with bestie Jennifer at Fetch, I was able to venture over to Kite's and meet up with Brad, Steve and Jacques. We were having fun talking about Las Vegas, still tough to believe in just over two months I'll be back in Vegas for my first time in over ten years, to see my favorite band Pearl Jam. Wild. It was great hanging out with Brad, Steve and Jacques.

Saturday morning was pretty productive between dropping off dry cleaning, picking some shirts back up, and picking wash and fold up too. I then ventured out to Newton and scored pretty decent results at Marshall's. I was able to buy a Brooks Brothers white dress shirt for $29.99, I usually pay double that at Woodbury Outlets. I was also able to get a new dri fit polo golf shirt for just $29.99, making me daydream about being back on a golf course this summer and Fall when it's beautiful weather outside. I was very happy with my success at Marshall's. Now I'm betting the next two or three times I go to either Marshall's or TJ Max will be less than successful, lol. That's usually how it goes with these places, right? Every two or three trips might not be successful, but then you feel like you hit gold when those deals are happening.

It was then time for me to drive over to Farmstead Golf Club for The Chinkcewunska Chapter National Society Daughters Of The American Revolution (DAR,) for their 28th Annual Awards Luncheon. We were so happy to see our WNNJ morning guy James Borasio and NNJ win their Media & Entertainment Award. Not only does Borasio play our National Anthem every morning at 6 on 103.7 NNJ, and on 106.3 The Bear at 5pm, he does so much for our Veterans. Every Veteran's Day Borasio pulls off Vets Rock, where all day we let Veterans play music and tell their stories. Borasio every year goes above and beyond to help make sure our Vets have a great experience. It's one of my favorite days of radio all year long every single year. I always wear my Toby Keith shirt on Veteran's Day while I'm enjoying cranking up Vets Rock. Even though it was raining hard and sideways, it was still such a gorgeous view of Farmstead. This was also making me daydream about golfing this summer.

Right before I arrived to Farmstead, I got a text from bestie Sally. She and Doug were seeing their friends Kobi and Al play at Dubco Brewery, late afternoon. I texted her back that I had the DAR event, unsure what time it would end, but definitely try my best to make an appearance. I had plans to see my bros Jasen and Brendan for a chill Saturday night in at their place.

Upon arriving at Farmstead, I didn't make the best of entrances. They lost my card, wrote in my name on a placeholder for the dinner, and then informed me due to a glitch the three of us, Shawn, Steve Andrews, and I weren't paid. They couldn't take credit cards, so I had to make a beeline to QuickCheck in Newton to take out cash. $159 later, everything all set and I was able to finally join my colleagues at our table. That experience was definitely something different for me. I did have fun running into friends at the event, and being able to help showcase the great work they do with my Weekend In Pictures.

I was then able to go from Farmstead in Lafayette, to Dubco Brewery in Warwick. I had so much fun seeing Kobi and Al play, and seeing Sally & Doug & friends. We had a wonderful time. I was then able to venture back to Vernon, stay on Campus seeing Jasen and Brendan, along with Ally Cat and Cheeto. Nice low key Saturday night was just what the doctor ordered for me.

Sunday morning I started my day off with a nice, hearty breakfast at Granny's on 23 in Hamburg. It was always great seeing friends. The weather was gorgeous and it was one of those amazing days where I can watch skiers and snowboarders from my deck, and 7 minutes away watch golfers at Crystal Springs. The golf courses and ski slopes were both PACKED yesterday. I love living here. How many places can you live in America where you can say in one ten minute span you were able to watch both golfers and skiers?

I then reached out to bestie Jennifer. This time I was the one with new, fun ideas. We went to The Last Whisky Bar in Warwick. This was her first time there, and the weather was gorgeous. They had a fire pit going, and we just sat and enjoyed our round of drinks in the nice, warm sun. It was so peaceful and therapeutic, they have a great outdoor setup at The Last Whisky Bar.

I then took bestie Jennifer to downstairs at The Glenwood. I had so much fun taking my parents there President's Day Weekend, it made sense. We were able to get a delicious snack, first pretzel then pizza. I think I need to take carbs off for the next week or so after all of that!

I then ended up my weekend watching skiers and snowboarders from my deck, then going to sleep to Bar Rescue with Jon Taffer.

It was definitely an action packed weekend with some yummy food and beverages. Thank you for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend!
