My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Home & Garden Show Success

This was definitely an action packed, Epic Weekend In Pictures that I'll never forget. We will start with Friday morning during the 10am hour. I was driving from our radio stations in Franklin down 23 to Quarry Grill. They were going to have a food truck at our Home & Garden Show at The Sussex County Fairgrounds, and I wanted to take a picture of their storefront and promote them. By the time I got to Quarry Grill, a mere 5 minutes from our radio stations, my phone started blowing up. Friends were asking me if we had an Earthquake. I was stunned. My friends told me their places in Vernon were shaking and their cats were going crazy with the Earthquake. I couldn't even believe what my friends were telling me. I just kept asking everyone how the bleep did I miss an Earthquake? I didn't feel anything from it at all. It apparently happened while I was driving. We learned after a few hours that if you were driving then it was less likely you would feel the shaking. People kept asking me "really? How did you not feel it?" I felt SO lame and left out! At 6:01pm I was at Jasen and Brendan's in Vernon, and then we could feel the 4.0 aftershock. I was happy to be included at that point!

Friday night was a chill night in over at Jasen and Brendan's, but then my friend Sarah messaged me. She's the one who let me officiate her wedding in September in Philadelphia. I was able to hang out with her, Brad her Dad, and Steve at Kite's. We had a wonderful time. It's always fun when you can remember funny stories from the wedding. Considering it was on a boat during a hurricane, I really think the wedding went as great as possible.

Saturday morning it was time for our annual Home & Garden Show at The Sussex County Fairgrounds. Our vendors did a terrific job with their presentation skills, and it was fun seeing smiling faces all day. We always had a consistent stream of people, and Father John's Animal House brought some of the cutest puppies you'll ever see. It was great seeing many smiling faces all day.

The people are what make our annual Home & Garden Show such a fun event. We had 3 terrific food trucks there representing. Quarry Grill, Green Valley Farms, and The Barnyard were all making many people smile all day long.

Our event team did a terrific job entertaining folks all day. Brendan, Tati, Julia were all rock stars. At one point later in the day Julia asked me for a favor. She asked if I could bring over a cute puppy or two from Father John's Animal House. Not a problem at all! It was a long day, but a fun day.

Shawn, Mike and I were able to partake in our annual tradition. Every year after The Home & Garden Show, Shawn and I share a victory beer at Airport Pub. One of our favorite traditions is sitting outside on their patio furniture, and watching skydivers jumping out of the nearby airplanes. There was no jumping Saturday due to weather, but we were able to pivot and enjoy a beer in their brand new room. They did a great job with their new room, definitely makes it less dive bar style.

By Saturday night, I was wiped out from work. I just sat on my couch half watching college basketball. Sunday my bestie Carrie reached out to me. She invited me to meet up with her and her friend PJ. Carrie picked Crystal Tavern which can be so beautiful this time of year.

I had a great time with Carrie and PJ, enjoying a Sam Adams Cold Snap beer. Most places have switched over to Sam Adams Summer, I was psyched they still had Sam Adams Cold Snap.

I then enjoyed the sunset from my deck and had an early night in.

Overall this weekend involved work, but there was still some fun to be had along the way. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend!
