Talk about a wonderful weekend with a little bit of work mixed in with tons of fun! I enjoyed delicious food, fun with friends, and a remarkable Jackolantern contest at Crystal Springs. We'll start with Friday afternoon, where I ventured over to see my friends at Franklin Sussex AutoMall. It was their first family Halloween costume party contest in 5 years, and everyone was definitely hungry for it. I went over and made an appearance having fun running into old and new friends. I always feel so much at home when we're doing events at Franklin Sussex AutoMall. I'm very happy to hear that there were many happy people at their event. I joked at AutoMall that most roads for me tend to end up leading to Franklin Sussex AutoMall or Crystal Springs. Well in this case, the roads had me go first to Franklin Sussex AutoMall, and then immediately Crystal Springs right after that! This was my second year being their celebrity judge at the Crystal Springs Jack-o-lantern Contest. The schools involved all did fantastic jobs with their halloween decorations. These were all done by kids ranging from 14-18 years old. Warwick ended up winning the $1,000 donation to their art department from Crystal Springs. Some of these pumpkins were amazing! I can't even imagine the many man hours it took to do these Halloween displays. Between The Addams Family, Beatlejuice, and Game Of Thrones, people were entertained for hours. Warwick even had live music being played at their display! I had plenty of fun getting to judge along with Crystal Springs Rebecca. We joked about voting against each other during the contest, even though there were all winners anyway. It was tough to get to our consensus because there were so many amazing options. Those two hours flew by, and my Crystal Springs friends were a huge reason why they did. After that, I met up with besties Jasen, Brendan and Matt at Kite's. I know. All roads for me tend to end up at one of Crystal Springs properties along the way at some point. We had plenty of fun at Kite's. They had a ton of energy at the bar as folks were there the night before they were having a wedding at Minerals Resort & Spa. Shout out to newlyweds Hanna and Paul Hoferichter. Also shout out to Sandy and Ashley in Hampton who recognized me at the bar. All of the sudden I could have sworn I heard someone yell "Steve!" at Kite's. Surely enough, Sandy recognized me but was too scared to come over and say hi. Her daughter Ashley was not too scared, and was the one who yelled my name. It was so much fun. One of the many reasons I love living where I do. There are so many weddings, and those folks are usually happy and looking to celebrate while having fun. I always have fun borderline crashing so many weddings throughout the year.
Saturday I had a great time in Hackettstown. I went to Marley's Gotham Grill and had their delicious tail kicking nuclear buffalo wings. Right after that I enjoyed going to Kilhaney's Pickle store. I got two jars of Spicy Garlic pickles that definitely bring a TON of heat! My throat was on fire after one, and you know I love spice! I was able to share a jar with Artie and some besties at The Irish Cottage Inn. I then was able to share my other jar with besties Christine and Chris. Carrie talked me into joining them during the Patriots Jets game. I usually would prefer to be alone during these games, but I figured why not have fun with friends instead of just being alone. We had a great time together, and I'm happy that we all got together. The Patriots beating the Jets didn't hurt either. Sorry J-E-T-S fan friends!
My fantasy football teams are both losing, looking like legit Mash units. Tons of injuries ugh. Ah well. Overall I had a great weekend including a little bit of work, and a lot of fun. Thank you for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend. Another Halloween party perhaps? #WhatCanPossiblyGoWrong? ;)
