My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Puppysitting Adventures, I Only Lost 1 Charger

This weekend was fun filled with many memories. I was bummed my parents couldn't make the drive to visit me here in New Jersey this weekend, but it's not like I was home alone bored at all. This weekend Girlfriend Brooks and I were puppy sitting for potential future Seeing Eye Puppy, Bebe. I joked that it was similar to a parent at home having a kid all day, then when the other parent gets home from work the kid gets handed to them. This was basically the case for me and Brooks with Bebe. Bebe is a 17 week old German Shepherd puppy. We applied a few months ago to get into rotation for puppy sitting. Bebe lives in Greenwood Lake, and is a ton of love...and energy! She's a 17 week old puppy that has a ton of energy, and being a puppy gets into everything. We're fortunate that Brooks is a minimalist and didn't have to do much when it came to puppy proofing her place. At my place, this puppy wouldn't last 10 seconds before getting into stuff. My place is definitely not puppy proof!

Friday night I had a good, quiet night in with besties Jasen and Brendan. Saturday I treated myself out for lunch at Industry Kitchen & Bar in Sparta. This was basically the calm before the storm, as the restaurant was 100% sold out on reservations. Immediately after getting to the bar, I heard someone call my name. It was besties Carrie, Jennifer and Mackenzie. I hadn't run into them in a few months, major success. I then did some errands like minor grocery shopping for Girlfriend Brooks. She's been so tied up with the puppy Bebe, grocery shopping hasn't been possible. These Seeing Eye puppies aren't supposed to be left alone for more than an hour except when they're sleeping. We had reservations at Red Wolf in Belvidere, one of our favorite places to go. By Saturday morning we made the decision to cancel our reservation. Bebe just can't be alone for that long yet. She was even annoyed with me for having the nerve to take a shower! LOL. These puppies are on top of you 24/7, just like they would be if working and serving for a blind person. We met Bebe just over a month ago, and wow she grew big time! She is definitely much bigger than your typical 17 week old puppy. She is so sweet and loving. She's a puppy who as a puppy gets into everything. You have to watch her like a hawk whether inside or outside. Sunday morning Brooks and I were napping and you could hear her chewing. Turns out, she was chewing my phone USB cord to shreds while my phone was charging. Bebe 1, my phone charging cord 0. At least it wasn't one of my better cords that I was charging.

Sunday afternoon I went to Work Wife Bestie Shawn's in Vernon for a fun birthday party. I can't believe her niece Ruby is now 23. She's like another niece to me. I've been in this New Jersey area for 12 years, so this has been half of her life almost! We had a great time seeing so many friends. I had a great time with Michelle from Crystal Springs, Liz from Visions Federal Credit Union and several other besties. Successful birthday party for sure, and everyone was loving the Mexican food party. I ate wings and had a taco, lol.

Overall this was a fun, action packed weekend. A cute little puppy can have quite a way of dominating your Epic Weekends, that's for sure. It was definitely rewarding knowing that we might be playing a small role in helping a disabled person with an adorable puppy. This was a fun way to give back and basically donating our time with a cute puppy.
