This was a fun weekend with some experiences that I haven't done in a little while. I was able to have some fun and laughs with a few of my besties for sure! Thursday night I was hanging with bestie Jasen and we started talking about fun weekend activities. He told me that they were planning a Spa day at Crystal Springs Minerals Sports Club. Sign me up! I couldn't wait to call Girlfriend Brooks and invite her. She loves a fun pool day on Campus! We all agreed this was going to be a really fun weekend. As we know, sometimes life happens. Girlfriend Brooks woke up Friday with a little 24 hour cold bug. She couldn't get through a phone call with me without coughing. I told her to stay home and in, resting getting better. Friday night I stuck through with my plans to meet up with Bestie Sally and several others at Wolf Whiskey Tavern out in West Milford near Greenwood Lake. This was an intense drive as the fog kept building. These roads were small and windy, even more so than all the times I've driven around Lake Hopatcong. It probably wouldn't have even been that tricky if not for all of the heavy, dense fog. I was so happy and relieved once parked at that place. I went in and it had a definite fun place kind of vibe. Great size, fun place to see live music. I like that you have plenty of room to rock out and for those who like to dance, plus you can still be far away on the other side and at least hear your friends talking a little bit. This was my first time seeing several of these friends since early November! Far too long. The band Vinyl Tap was terrific. Their second set even more enjoyable than their first set. This was an interesting place. Their draft beer taps were all broken except for one Guinness tap. I did that for a beer. Then I look all around and everyone was totally content drinking cans of beer. I can't remember the last time I saw that many people at a bar and restaurant drinking cans of beer. Another thing I found very interesting was that despite Whiskey being in the establishment's name, there didn't seem to be anyone drinking whiskey that I could see! I'm sure it's somewhere out there and fantastic. The ride home was definite white knuckle variety through that dense fog the first half. Once I got onto 94 the fog thinned out dramatically thank goodness. I left at 10, and was so happy and relieved to be parked on my couch by 10:45.

Saturday it felt fun packing up for pool mode, which I hadn't done in over 6 months. Long overdue pool day! I had so much fun hanging with Bestie Jasen, his sister Jennifer who is like another sister to me, and Shannon. We had a great time together enjoying beautiful weather. Saturday wasn't as warm as Sunday, but when you're going back and forth between the outdoor heated pool, steam room and hot tub, that weather definitely works for me! We had a great time. I then ran into Vlastik, who was one of the very first friends I ever made here over 12 years ago! Wow, where does the time go? I'm so happy to see him doing great with his beautiful wife and their kids.
Sunday I got off to a slow start, like many these past few weeks my sinuses have been in rough shape. This week might need to see the doctor. Ironically it was right around this time last year in March I had a sinus infection. Brooks who was starting to feel better and back to normal, switched to coaching me basically. I drank some warm green tea with honey, then took a hot shower, where the steam definitely helped. By late afternoon I felt good, especially after watching skiers and snowboarders from my deck at Mountain Creek. It was great to get fresh air that definitely helped too.
Sunday afternoon I then ran into several besties at The Irish Cottage Inn. We had a fun time. Then all of the sudden, our friend Ray Sikora showed up with his karaoke equipment. Here we go. Several of my friends were having fun with that putting on a show. We all probably stayed an hour or so longer than originally planned because everyone was having so much fun with everything.

Time to start planning next weekend, where we're hopefully going to be seeing my family up in Boston for Saint Patrick's Day Weekend!
