Find a Memorial Day Parade in our area


On Memorial Day we honor the men and women who died in battle to protect our freedom. Here are some of the parades and ceremonies taking place in and around Sussex County.

Saturday May 27th 

Hopatcong Borough's Parade begins at 10AM at Borough Hall and marches to Veteran's Park on Flora Avenue for a Memorial Day Ceremony..

Monday May 29th

Ogdensburg-parade begins at 8AM at the firehouse and proceeds at St Thomas, Immaculate Conception and North Church Cemeteries.

Branchville- Parade line up is at Frankford School. The parade moves through town starting at 10AM concluding with a ceremony at the town park. 

Newton-Parade begins on lower Spring Street at 10AM. Then it continues to Spring Street, turns onto Moran Street and ends with a ceremony at Memory Park.

Sparta- Parade begins at 10AM at Park Street on East Shore Trail and proceeds along East Shore Trail to the Mohawk Avenue School for a ceremony after the parade.

Franklin- Parade begins at 10:30 at the American Legion. Then proceeds to Rutherford Avenue and Main Street. After the parade there will be a ceremony at the Memorial at Borough Hall.

Hackettstown- Parade begins at 9:35 along Main Street then to Grand Avenue and concludes with a ceremony at Union Cemetery.

Port Jervis- Parade Steps off from the Middle School at 11. Then Proceeds along Pike and East Main to Orange Square Park for a Memorial Day Ceremony.
