On National Hot Dog Day there was a hot dog recall

Sabrett is recalling more than 7 million pounds of beef and pork hot dogs nationwide because small pieces of bone and cartilage might have gotten into the food. The USDA made the announcement yesterday on National Hot Dog Dog. Faulty equipment is being blamed. The problem has been fixed.

The hot dogs being recalled were produced between March 17, 2017 and July 4, 2017.  (St Patrick's Day through July 4th) These products were distributed across the country. Check your Sabrett Hot Dogs for EST 8854 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The sell by dates can be anywhere between June 19th and October 6th 2017
