Steve Andrews weekend in 5 pictures

I was on the go all weekend long. Sometimes you need a day or two off to recover from the weekend. This was one of those weekends. The good news is everything I did and all the places I went turned into a great time.

Friday Night I was at Skylands Stadium for our client appreciation party. Watching the game from the left field pavilion was fantastic. The food was great too. The people at Skylands Stadium did a great job with our cooked to order burgers and hot dogs. One of our younger fans Elijah was at the game and come over to say hello to Steve Allan and me. He listens at 8:45 every morning and enjoys our Steve and Steve segment.

On Saturday I began the day at Bentley Assisted Living's Summer Fair. The weather was perfect. You can watch the live video on our WSUS Facebook page. We had our biggest crowd ever. My daughter and grand daughter came with me. They had a great time! The caricature artist even drew a picture of Gracie for us!

Then I was on to my cousin Tara's house in Warwick, New York for a cousin's barbecue. My cousin's Elaine and Tara had not seen each other in over 30 years. It was wonderful to be a part of their re-connection. I can't share pictures of us right now because they are on my cousins phone. When I get them I'll share them. Another thing I did while I was at Tara's was throw and ax for the first time. My second cousin's boyfriend actually participates in lumber jack competitions so he let me throw a few times! I completely missed the target and the ax went into the woods so we just faked a picture of the ax in the bulls eye.

On Sunday cousin Elaine and her family came to my house for a large Sunday breakfast and Father's Day barbecue.  I was in the pool all day with my second cousins and Miss Gracie. We had a great time but I ate too much. My son Matt did everything for the barbecue and my son James brought home my favorite sundae from the Riverside Creamery when he got home from work.

I have no siblings so reconnecting with my cousins over the past few years has been a blessing to me. We travel long distances to see each other but they are the siblings I never had.  Spending Father's Day weekend with all my kids, two of my cousins and their families made this one of the best Father's Day weekends ever for me.
