New Jersey or Trenton tomato pies are different from traditional pizza. Think of a tomato pie as an upside down pizza. The topping and cheese go on the bottom and then the tomato sauce goes on top.
Windy Brow Farms in Fredon got a lot of attention a few months ago when they created Taylor Ham ice cream as part of their "Only in Jersey" collection. The newest addition to "Only in Jersey" is Tomato Pie ice cream. It's made with Sun Gold Tomato Jam, Basil Oil, Oregano and Pepper Flakes. All churned with Windy Brow's wonderful fresh cream.
