My "Festive" weekend in 5 pictures

Just about everything I did this weekend had something to do with helping others for Christmas.

On Friday Night I helped the youth group The United Methodist Church of Matamoras rehearse for their Christmas play on Sunday.  I really enjoyed playing the cow in a very cute Christmas skit that takes place the night Jesus was born in Bethlehem. I missed the actual performance at the church on Sunday but because I volunteer to help with youth group I got to enjoy the play on Friday.  The enthusiasm of the kids at our church does wonders for my holiday spirit. The sanctuary was all ready for their performance when I took a picture Friday Night.

On Saturday it was off to Subaru World of Newton to encourage donations of new and gently worn coats for Project Self Sufficiency. If you didn't get a chance to stop by on Saturday you can still stop by with a coat or two all this week. Thank You to everyone who came by to donate a coat and give me a chance to wish them a Merry Christmas in person. In the mailbox when I got home on Saturday there was a Christmas Card from President Trump. My first ever Christmas Card from a President.

Sunday was Mall day. My daughter, her boyfriend and Gracie traveled to the Galleria in Middletown for pictures with Santa. While I drove to the Rockaway Mall help with our Gifts for Goldens promotion. Just like last year, in less than two hours our listeners took all the tags off the Gifts for Goldens Tree. All gifts requested by residents of Homestead Rehabilitation and Healthcare were purchased by 3PM. Today and tomorrow we'll wrap all the gifts and deliver them. For all of us from I Heart Media who volunteered to help yesterday it was like a Christmas Party before our Christmas Party.

Then I met my long time friend Bob and his fiance Barbara for dinner at the Mall. Bob is my son James' godfather. We have been friends since college. We had a great time at dinner but next time I'm going to show more restraint with the bottomless french fries.
