I love to plant flowers and vegetables in the spring. Then watch them grow in the summer. There's nothing like fresh peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden. Depending on the weather and how much time I have to pull out weeds. Some years are better than others. Last week I turned the soil in all the vegetable beds. Then I optimistically start to plant the weekend after mothers day. This year I decided to add some space for hydrangeas in my front garden. So far they're looking beautiful. My other project is repairing the outside doors of my shed. I admit the shed is pretty old. Totally replacing it will be an expense and a project. So I'm trying to maintain and repair it for now. Even after 25 years, the inside stays dry and is pretty clean. The edges of some of the wood are falling apart, We used fresh screws to secure the wood. Next weekend I'll fill in the gaps with latex caulk. Then repaint the whole front of the shed. Hopefully, the shed will look much better. My grandson Christopher got his hair cut on Saturday. Gracie and Christopher went to a trampoline center birthday party on Sunday. My hilarious weekend moment happened when they got back. I asked Christopher if he had fun. He said "yes." Then added: "grandpa it's time to open the pool." He's only 2 and a half!
