The first time I saw Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons I was 11 years old. My dad and step mom took me to an "oldies reunion" concert at Madison Square Garden. That was 50 years ago. Since then I've met and seen Frankie Valli perform many other times. About 15 years ago he did a fundraiser at Sussex Tech. He walked into the school without any fanfare wearing jeans and a t shirt. When he came out on stage he was dressed in a beautiful suit with his young background singers and affectionately referred to them as his "kids." Frankie Valli is now 88 years old and it appears he is far from done performing live on stage. He just began a six month tour in Atlanta which will wrap up the end of June in upstate New York. The tour will make two stops in New Jersey. On April 28th he'll be at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. The city he grew up in. On June 1st he'll be at The Count Basie Theater in Red Bank.
