Animal rescuers in Jersey City are trying to find the owner of a piebald ball python discovered behind a refrigerator. The Liberty Humane Society describes the snake as "socialized and not a threat." If the owner doesn't come forward it will be put up for adoption. At first they believed the snake was a corn snake. It was obviously a pet because the Newport district apartment it was found in is on the 29th floor. The resident of the apartment who found the colorful snake was shocked. No one knows how it got there or how long it was there. They've named the snake "Banana." No doubt "Banana" must have been enjoying the privacy as well as warmth generated by the appliance.
