My "Holy Bowling" Weekend in Pictures

We were loosing an hour this weekend. Saturday it was wet and cold. So I pretty much decided to give myself an easy weekend. I completed one small project in the house. Created a recipe to use up some food in the freezer and pantry. The highlight of my weekend was bowling for the first time in 10 years. I've been one of the leaders of our church youth group for a long time. One of the things I always say is we need to do fun things with the kids. Which isn't always easy because kids have other activities too. We recently figured out Sunday afternoons seem to be a good time. So we reserved a couple of lanes at the bowling alley in Port Jervis yesterday afternoon and the kids bowled for a couple of hours. I bowled a game too. Along with my grand daughter Gracie. Everyone had a great time. I even through a strike and made a couple of spares. Check out my form below.

At home I took care of something that was bothering me for a while. When my mom passed away I came into possession of some beautiful plates that belonged to my parents. My dad was in the import export business. Many of the beautiful plates were gifts from German steamship lines in the 1950's. My favorites are small plates with reproductions of Audubon paintings of American birds. They've been up for about 10 years. They were getting really dirty. So I took them down and cleaned them.

In the kitchen I put together a few items from the pantry to make something new. I combined Success Rice, Campbell's cream of celery soup, 4 ounces of milk, Hillshire Farms Kielbasa and broccoli florets. The blend of the different flavors was delicious. Hint: I cooked the Kielbasa in my air fryer. What a great meal with a prep time of about 15 minutes. While the rice and broccoli were cooking on the stove top. The Kielbasa was cooking in the air fryer. Then I just combined everything with the soup and milk. I'm thinking of writing a single dad's cook book.
