Atlantic City's latest attempt to become a family friendly destination with gambling is happening at The Showboat. The Island Water Park is being promoted as the "World's Largest Water Park Near a Beachfront." The 120,000 square foot attraction is a $100 Million investment. Which will feature a 6.500 square foot lazy river, 1,000 square foot surf simulator pools, shopping, party rooms and more than a dozen water slides. A glass roof that can open and close will make The Island Water Park a year round attraction. Some areas in the waterpark will be "adult only" with private cabanas and swim up bars. After the kids go to bed the park will remain open as a night life venue for grown-ups. I don't like the long drive to Atlantic City but this place sounds like it will be worth the trip!
