I can't say I've seen a mysterious drone yet. Plenty of people I know have reported seeing them. Yesterday, the House Sub Committee on Homeland Security heard testimony from the F.B.I. on the subject. Members of the Critical Incident Response Team told the Congressman they "don't know" who is operating the drones but have seen no evidence of "nefarious motives. Meanwhile, State Senator Jon Bramnick is calling for all drone flights over New Jersey to be banned until we know more about what is going on. New Jersey Congressman Chis Smith told the committee that a Coast Guard Officer told him his ship was followed by an estimated 50 drones recently. There have been 11 sightings over Picatinny Arsenal according to staff members. Some witnesses said the drones they saw were as large as a car! During the two hour hearing yesterday Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales appeared to loose his patience with FBI officials asking "You're telling me we don't know what the hell these drones in New Jersey are?" After hesitating for a few seconds FBI agent Robert Wheeler answered "That's Correct." One more thing: If you were wondering if shooting down a drone over your home is legal it is not. Federal Regulations say you cannot take matters into your own hands and shoot down anything in the sky.
