It was a very busy weekend for me. Saturday Morning it was great to see everyone at Weis Markets in Franklin. I think our donations for Back Pack Snacks for Kids will go a long way this year. We should have the final numbers from the Sussex County Department of Social Services late today or tomorrow. When I got home it was time to start my annual Spring clean up. Every year the first thing I do is clean out the flower boxes along my driveway. Which get filled with leaves, rocks and litter every Winter. They are looking good now. Pretty soon my Hosta plants will pop up and it will be time to mulch. While I was at Weis Markets in Franklin I saw they had a great sale on bone in pork roast so I bought one for Sunday dinner. After 8 hours in my slow cooker with a few spices, an onion and a pepper the meat fell right off the bone. This is the second weekend in a row I broke out my slow cooker. You can't beat 10 minutes of prep time and the house smelling delicious all day. Goya Spanish Rice and green peas were our sides. Our Sunday dinner was enjoyable and colorful. We will also be getting some new dishes thanks to my son Matt. He and his wife just bought a new set. So I'll be getting their current service for 12. Perfect timing for us because after 10 years our current set is getting pretty beat up. Very exciting for me! Thank You Matt and Jess.
